Stavo andando a spasso per la rete, tra i miei bravi e bei blogghettini e ascoltando un 12" di Tactile quando mi sono imbattutto in questo progetto dell'università di Barcellona:
The reactable hardware is based on a translucent round table. A video camera
situated beneath, continuously analyzes the table surface, tracking the
nature, position and orientation of the objects that are distributed on
its surface, representing the components of a classic modular synthesizer.
These objects are passive without any sensors or actuators, users interact by
moving them, changing their position, their orientation or their faces (in
the case of volumetric objects). These actions directly control the
topological structure and parameters of the sound synthesizer. A projector,
also from underneath the table, draws dynamic animations on its surface,
providing a visual feedback of the state, the activity and the main
characteristics of the sounds produced by the audio synthesizer.La figata è dietro l'angolo ovviamente, ma la cosa ancora più sconvolgente, aldilà delle parole è vedere e sentire questo progetto in azione (
olè). Le considerazioni come musicista e appasisonato di interazione tra audio e video sono scontatissime, uno strumento del genere renderebbe una performance di musica elettronica d'ascolto assai più interessante, abbinata poi ad un vero e proprio visual concept trascenderebbe nell'eiaculazione precoce.
I suoni sono forse migliorabili, ma chi se ne importa, stare in 3 o 4 attorno a quel tavolo sostituisce il bisogno di strumentazione come il kaoss pad, i delay e distorsori di sorta, diventa itnerazione attiva tra i componenti, modificando l'uno il suono dell'altro, l'elettronica iventerebbe non solo più viva ma tridimensionale.
Lo compro anche se non lo vendono, ho deciso.
